OUR PUBLICATION & STANDARDS

How we review and research

Last substantively updated

What does a review label mean?

Currently, we have not published any hands-on reviews. When we do, each review will require owner-supplied evidence, including screenshots or clips, the platform tested, and the number of hours played. For hardware reviews, we will require relevant measurements such as battery life, latency and frame rate, along with the method used to measure them. We do not invent tests or scores; all data must be verifiable.

How are decision guides different?

Decision guides are based on official specifications and cited sources. They do not include star ratings. We must clearly distinguish manufacturer claims, independent published measurements and our own testing. A specification comparison must never be presented as a hands-on review.

What goes into a verdict?

The verdict in a decision guide tells you who the product is suitable for and who should skip it. We include a dated price check with the currency, or state if the price is unconfirmed. We also provide relevant alternatives to help you compare options. A dated price is a snapshot, rather than a promise that every store or region offers the same price.

How are images used?

We use AI-generated generic illustrative images, clearly labelled. They are not gameplay screenshots or proof of testing. We do not generate game characters, logos or box art. Owner-supplied screenshots and licensed press material must be identified by their source and used only with the necessary rights.

How do corrections and updates work?

Please email gamingreviewblog@gmail.com with the article URL, the specific error and a reliable source to verify the correction. Volatile facts must be checked again before publication. Updated dates will change only when there are substantive edits to the content. Gaming Review Blog Editorial Team is the publication’s editorial label, owned by Mudassir; we do not invent individual contributors.
